The Mission of the Municipal Court is to provide adjudication of violations of all Town Ordinances and criminal offenses that occur within the Town of Peralta, New Mexico.
The Court hears cases involving petty misdemeanors, traffic violations including violations of the Town of Peralta cod e of ordinances.The Town of Peralta Municipal Court operates an open, efficient and fair Court for the citizens of the Town, ensures due process for all persons cited for violations of the Municipal Ordinances, and acts in a fair and impartial manner for all decisions that are made in accordance to Town laws and ordinances.
Municipal Court Clerk Supervisor/ Alternate Municipal Judge: Eddy Melendrez
Eddy's responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Training for court case processing, filing of documents and receipt of fines, fees and bond payments; balance and reconcile daily cash receipts; prepare and make deposits. Respond to inquiries from legal law enforcement for community and the public. Research files for case status and information regarding parties to cases. Eddy lives in Los Lunas and has been a Peralta team member since 2017.
The Municipal Court is located at the Peralta Town Hall, 90A Molina Road. The Court’s Business hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. Should you receive any citation, please note the date and time you are to appear in Court. The contact phone number for the Court Office is 869-2205.

Ada has been a team member since 2017 and resides in Los Lunas, NM. Ada is tasked in the set-up of court dates, handles citation payments and processing. When contacting the court, you will most likely talk with Ada concerning questions regarding court cases and scheduling and all inquiries regarding Municipal Court.

Honorable Judge: Tracy Aragon
The Town of Peralta municipal Judge is the Honorable Tracy Aragon. Judge Aragon was elected to a four year term as municipal Judge in 2016.
